Nation wide police reports were lodged against Islamic preacher Ustaz Idris Sulaiman for uttering derogatory words against Hindu temples and the religion of Hinduism in a Facebook page, Ilmu Salaf Dot Com on 7th January 2022, where a group of undergraduates from the Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) had helped clean up a Hindu temple which was affected by the flood waters.
Preacher Ustaz Idris Sulaiman condemned the act of this Muslim students cleaning up the Temple as its Syirik accordance to Islam and claimed Temples are house of Satan. He stated that Hinduism or any other beliefs besides Islam is unholy as they are worshippers and followers of the Devil.
